C
herubism is a rare hereditary fibro-osseous lesion characterized by painless expansion of jaws in childhood and is known
to regress without treatment after puberty. Cherubism is a familial disease and presents an autosomal dominant trait with
100% penetrance in males and 50–70% penetrance in females. Cherubism is not a common disease. Recent genetic studies
revealed that Cherubism is a genetically mediated disorder. Usually, Cherubism appears between two to five years. We present
a case report of familial cherubism in a 20-year-old female patient.
