Dr. Ming received his early training at the B.S and M.S. levels from China Pharmaceutical University and The University of Texas College of Pharmacy. In 2004 Xin began his PhD studies at The University of North Carolina School of Pharmacy. His thesis work with Prof. Dhiren Thakker dealt with mechanisms of transporter-mediated drug delivery. In 2008 Dr. Ming joined Prof. Rudy Juliano′s laboratory as a postdoctoral fellow to work on projects concerning targeted delivery of antisense and siRNA oligonucleotides and the underlying cell and molecular mechanisms. In 2011, he was appointed a Research Assistant Professor in the same university. Since then, he has extended his research to targeted delivery of oligonucleotide-based therapeutics for chronic kidney diseases and diabetes.
