Iron storage disease which is scientifically known as Hemochromatosis mainly occurs when the body tends to absorb extra amount of iron from dietary sources and other sources such as vitamins containing iron. This disease causes high amount of iron to gradually accumulate in several body’s tissues and organs, leading to a term called iron overload.  If this condition of iron buildup is not treated and left unobserved over many years it may damage the body’s vital organs.
