Aspergillosis is a disease caused by Aspergillus, a common mold (a type of fungus) that lives indoors and outdoors. Most people breathe in Aspergillus spores every day without getting sick. Aspergillosis is an opportunistic infection caused by inhaling spores of the mold Aspergillus, commonly present in the environment; the spores invade blood vessels, causing hemorrhagic necrosis and infarction.

  • Aspergillosis

Symptoms may be those of asthma, pneumonia, sinusitis, or rapidly progressing systemic illness. Diagnosis is primarily clinical but may be aided by imaging, histopathology, and specimen staining and culture.  A fungus ball is usually not treated unless there is bleeding into the lung tissue. In such a case, surgery and medicines are needed. Invasive aspergillosis is treated with several weeks of an antifungal medicine. It can be given by mouth into a vein.

  • Aspergillosis

Endocarditis caused by Aspergillus is treated by surgically removing the infected heart valves. Long-term antifungal therapy is also needed. Antifungal medicines alone do not help people with allergic aspergillosis. Allergic aspergillosis is treated with medicines that suppress the immune system, such as prednisone. The approximate disease Aspergillous Incidence in country Ireland in Western Europe was found to be 39
