Meningitis

Meningitis is inflammation of slim tissue that surrounds the brain and spinal cord, called the meninges. There are several types of meningitis. The most common is viral meningitis, which you get when a virus enters the body through the nose or mouth and journeys to the brain. Bacterial meningitis is rare, but can be dangerous. It usually starts with pathogens that originate with common cold. It can impede blood vessels in the brain and lead to stroke and brain impairment. It also harms other body parts. Pneumococcal diseases and meningococcal infections leads to bacterial meningitis is an infection of the lungs that is initiated by pathogens, viruses, fungi, or parasites. It is diagnosed mainly by inflammation of the alveoli in the lungs or by alveoli that are filled with fluid (alveoli are microscopic sacs in the lungs that soak up oxygen). At times a very grave condition, pneumonia can make individual very sick or even cause death. Although the infection happen among children and adults , it is very fatal for the elderly persons, offspring, and people with other diseases or weakened immune schemes. Bacterial Streptococcus pneumoniae is the most common origin of bacterial pneumonia. Persons who suffer from chronic obstructive pulmonary infection (COPD) or alcoholism most often get pneumonia from Klebsiella pneumoniae and Hemophilus influenzae. Atypical pneumonia, a kind of pneumonia that typically happens throughout the summer and drop months, is initiated by the pathogens Mycoplasma pneumoniae. Persons who have Legionnaire's infection initiated by the bacterium Legionella pneumoniae (often discovered in contaminated water supplies and air conditioners) may evolve pneumonia as part of the general infection. Another type of pathogens to blame for pneumonia is called Chlamydia pneumoniae. Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia is a pattern of pneumonia that generally affects both the lungs and is found in patients with dwindled or compromised immune systems from such situation as cancer and HIV/AIDS and those treated with TNF (tumor necrosis factor) for rheumatoid arthritis.
