The 91st Strategic Reconnaissance Wing came in from in November 1948 and was active up to November 1957. The Association was again resumed in 1996 and now in contact with over 500 members and non-members. The 91SRWA has had 4 reunions - Wright-Patterson AFB (1996, 1998, 2005 and 2008), Barksdale AFB (2000), Air Force Academy (2002), Connecticut (2004), one in Branson, Missouri (2006), and Minot, North Dakota (2007). They have placed 91SRW memorial plaques at many places such as the AF Museum, AF Academy and Minot AFB, and a granite bench at the 8th AF Museum at Barksdale. Minot AFB is home to the 91st Missile Wing; in September 2007 a room was dedicated by the base to the 91st of all eras. The 91st Bomb Group (WWII) joined with them in this reunion and interaction with the 91st Missile Wing. The 91st will be celebrating it's Centennial in Aug 2017 in San Antonio, TX. The purpose of 91st SRWA is to perpetuate the history and memory of the 91st Strategic Reconnaissance Wing (91st SRW) and to promote and strengthen a spirit of camaraderie among its members. To further these goals, along with maintaining a website annual reunion will be held and yearly newsletter will be published twice and an archive of 91st SRW memorabilia will also be maintained.
