Academy of Medical Sciences of Croatia

This academy was founded on May 5, 2000 and is within the Federation of European Academies of Medicine, which falls under the International Academy Panel (IAMP). It is a network of the country’s medical sections of academies of science and engineering. It is bound to improve health country-wide. The mission is to promote cooperation between national Academies of Medicine and Medical Sections of Science Academies in Europe; to give them a platform to formulate their collective voice on matters related to human and animal medicine, biomedical research work, education, and health with a European dimension; and to lead an extension to the European authorities the advisory position that they exercise in their own countries on those matters. They have a vision- To underpin European biomedical policy with the best scientific advice drawn from across Europe, by the FEAM network of Academies comprising above 5000 high level scientists from the whole biomedical spectrum and to make the health, safety and wealth of European citizens better through research by promoting a nurturing, creative and perfect environment for medical research and training in Europe.
