Aerospace and the Association of European defense industries, is a European company, based in Brussels, born in 2004 from the merger of AECMA, the EDIG and EUROSPACE. It is institutions that bring together aerospace industry partners, space and defense. The purpose of the organization is to enhance the competitive development of the defense industry in Europe. It has several missions, including representation of its members and the one stop shop for those and the European institutions.
The Aerospace Industries Association and the defense of Europe (ASD) represents the aeronautics, space, defense in Europe and security in all matters of common interest in order to promote and support the competitive development of the sector. The accession of ASD is composed of 14 major aerospace and defense of European companies and twenty six member associations in 19 countries. In 2014, over 3,000 aerospace, space and defense in those countries employing over 795,000 people and generated a turnover of € 199.4 billion.
The essence of the Association is to provide a single platform for the development of common positions for the industries it represents. Adept spread the word regarding the new policies and possible legislative development, ASD awareness and promotes the values ââ¬â¹Ã¢â¬â¹and positions of its members in all EU institutions.
