The Alzheimer’s Disease Association of the Philippines (ADAP) was founded during March 2000 in Philippines and later in 2002 it became a member of the Alzheimer’s Disease International. This organization is generally composed of persons suffering from dementia and they have included their family, caregivers and dedicated doctors who have special interest towards dementia and especially who are involved in patient care. The aim of ADAP is to improve life quality by through educational programs and support services that can create awareness about dementia. The Filipino people are generally addressing the issues associated with Alzheimer's Disease and related disorders, creating hope for patients and their families. They are providing all support to healthcare professionals, individuals, and institutions for the research advancement. The social responsibility of ADAP is that they provide solutions that address the needs of AD patients, their families, and their healthcare professionals involving- Legislation, Disease Management Guidelines, Public Fora and Advocacy Programs so that they can be in touch with the realities. They are also encouraging Philippine setting as it affects the AD management and working in collaboration with other sectors and organizations in addressing issues related to AD and related disorders. They are sharing their expertise , precious time, and resources for the realization of its vision and continuous growth of ADAP and realization of its vision. They continuously explore viable new and alternative approaches in attaining the ADAP Vision.
