American Academy of Micropigmentation

The American Academy of Micropigmentation serves the public by improving the quality of micropigmentation exercise through a voluntary guarantee procedure that fosters excellence and encourages continuous learning. We are not associated with any State or Federal government activity. Board Certification by our not-for-profit organization since 1994 is strictly unpaid and is only compulsory in the States of Maine, New Jersey and Nevada. Applicants become Board-eligible after one year of practice. Boarding suitability for Instructors involves at least five years of practice. Each candidate experiences a rigorous 3-part inspection development including a written exam, and oral exam and a practical examination. The American Academy of Micropigmentation offers you to join this prestigious group of dedicated physicians, cosmetologists, aestheticians, electrologists and others in the field.

The intent of the certification procedure of the AAM is to deliver declaration to the public and to the medical profession that a certified micropigmentation consultant has completed an credited course of education in micropigmentation and an evaluation including an examination. The evaluation is designed to assess the information, knowledge and skills requisite to the delivery of high standards of excellence customer care in everlasting makeup. The Academy has no control over a member's choice of methods or artistic results and makes no guarantee either expresses or implied for work performed. Membership in or Board Certification by the AAM is voluntary. The selection of micropigmentation professional is the sole responsibility of the client.
