The association of American Osteopathic Academy of Addiction Medicine is engaged in providing education, leadership and expertise in the field of addiction medicine. The association helps in educating the professionals and the people with the early identification, treatment and recovery, highest level of prevention for individuals and families surviving with the addiction disease. The President of AOAAM is William R Morrone. Mr. William Bograkos and Mr. Arlin Silberman are the AOAAMs’ President Elect and Secretary respectively. One of the main objectives of this committee is to develop strategies for the AOAAM public policy agenda. The committee of AOAAM will review; approve all the official resolutions to the AOA House of Delegates. This association also strives to establish Continuing Medical Education (CME) opportunities to its members. CME helps in improvising the physician's ability to care for patients. The committee established especially for CME will identify the needs and plan accordingly the necessary programs and meetings to meet the needs of CME. The membership committee evaluates, proposes and promotes services for the membership. The purpose of this council is to mantain continuity, historical references and collective insight to the board.
