Asia Pacific Association of Pediatric Allergyn Respirology and Immunology -APAPARI

The establishment of the Asia Pacific Association of Pediatric Allergy, Respirology and Immunology was a step with an objective of excellence and advancement in the field of Pediatric allergic disorders, respiratory and immunological diseases. Since its establishment in the year 1997, The Association has a long history dedicating to the advancement through education, training and research in paediatric allergic disorders, respiratory and immunological diseases. With getting an experience, In 1996 Dr. Chen, Dr. Vichyanond and Dr. Lee with a necessity to convening the Asian Pediatric Allergists and took a necessary step towards the formation of the Association (APAPARI).

In 1998 the association and its steering committee were established with an initial membership of eminent physicians and scientists in that region. Dr. Pakit Vichyanond was elected the 1st president of APAPARI.  Professor Gary Wing-Kin Wong is the sitting President of Association, the Head office of association situated in Hong Kong. Allergic diseases are becoming more common these days. For the allergic and respiratory diseases, Asia is one of the exciting regions against different areas due to the different patterns of the diseases. The Healthcare communities in Asia Pacific region needs to equip themselves to provide best possible care for children suffering from these types of disorders. The Association has goals to improve the quality of patient care respiratory, allergy, Immunology etc. Enhancement and Advancement of the diagnostic and therapeutic skill of the members. The Association organizes educational activities in the collaboration of national societies and fostering their collaborations among the members across the region. The upcoming meeting of APAPARI in collaboration with Asia Pacific Association of Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology (APAAACI) is going to be held on 17-20 October 2016 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
