Asian and Oceanian Society for Paediatric Radiology was founded in 2000. Asian and Oceanian Society of Paediatric Radiology offer a forum and foster dialogue between paediatric radiologists, i.e. radiologists who have shown an interest in the field of paediatric-perinatal, diagnostic and interventionist imaging. It contributes to the sharing of best practices and the development of paediatric medical imaging both in and outside the countries of the Asian and Oceanian Community. It aims to Initiate lead and build excellence in diagnostic and interventionist paediatric medical imaging. It develops training specifically designed for paediatric radiologist. The Asian and Oceanian Society of Paediatric Radiology awards fellowships to young physicians so that they'll participate in internships, courses and conferences, supported criteria that may be determined by the officers. The Asian and Oceanian Society of Paediatric Radiology advise on optimum practice of radiation protection especially for children based on the principle of justified and optimized actions. It fosters professional relations with numerous radiological and paediatric societies and organizations round the world and encourage all practitioners who want to participate in a dynamic and friendly community in the field of paediatric radiology. The Asian and Oceanian Society of Paediatric Radiology additionally pursues the objective to Initiate, lead and build excellence in elementary clinical research around any field of paediatric, perinatal and foetal diagnostic and interventional imaging. The Asian and Oceanian Society of Paediatric Radiology organize conferences, courses and seminars. The annual congress of the society is held every year. The Asian and Oceanian Society of Paediatric Radiology works in conjunction with other scientific organizations like the Society of pediatric Radiology, USA and the European Society of Radiology. It co-jointly publishes an official Journal of Pediatric Radiology and other online publications.
