Since its foundation in 1991, the Association for Applied Human Pharmacology (AGAH) is marking its potential to develop & explore in drug development and human pharmacology .It is a scientific medical non-profit organization whose members work in the field of translational medicine i.e. bringing new medicinal products from the bench into clinical research. It has also organized a number of projects & very successful scientific activities on human pharmacology. AGAH has also established the Network Clinical Pharmacology Germany (Verbund Klinische Pharmakologie Deutschland) along with other clinical-pharmacological societies. The basic working idea of the scientific activities result from the special projects groups /work groups. AGAH is the leading training institution for study nurses in Germany, it hold the training courses regularly. The managing committee comprises of five members including the president, past president, president elect, treasurer, and secretary. The dynamic development of the organization is a result of the modern democratic board system only & delivers potentials especially of young members. The AGAH is member of the Association of the Scientific Medical Societies in Germany (AWMF) and member of the Network Clinical Pharmacology Germany (VKliPha). It also publishes publication series like; ‘Concepts in Human Pharmacology’, ‘Parameters for Compartment-free Pharmacokinetics’, ‘Compendium Clinical Pharmacology’, etc. The AGAH is providing a best platform for scientific exchange & improvement in training & education for the improvement of the personal standing in the elaborated professional field. It emphasises on the development of innovative concepts and methods as well as their implementation into daily working practice, and opportunities to represent professional interests.
