The Association for Benchmarking Health Care is an association of health care organizations that conducts benchmarking studies to identify the practices that improve the overall operations of its members With an aim of providing a platform & international resource for business process research & metrics, ABHC was founded in 1992.Since then, it is leading in the studies with over 140,000 process leaders spread in over 165 countries. ABHC links the need of healthcare management to processes & techniques to recognise leading cross country practices. The data that is collected in the surveys conducted, the idea of many entities in the industry is gathered. The sectors like individual companies, professional and trade associations, and industry and process based groups are given the training of benchmarking & research. Over 300 benchmarking studies have been spread to the processes & industries identify measures and collect data to identify best practices that includes methods like face to face benchmarking, creating benchmarking databases and sharing benchmarking information & also through sessions, writing books & papers on benchmarking topics. Around 5,000 process owners are maintaining relationships with key organizations that further provide linkage to additional contacts through this benchmarking process.
