Association of American Indian Physicians (AAIP)

The American Indian Physicians association is a Non- Profit Corporation and it has education, scientific and charitable and it was founded in 1971. The AAIP wants to provide both the support and services of American Indian and Alaska native communities. A group of fourteen American Indian and Alaska native physicians sought to establish an organisation. The aim of this organization is to improve the health of American Indian and Alaska Natives. At the time of its founding, AAIP’s primary goals were and remain, to improve the health of the communities. The AAIP desire to obtain od succeed in its mission by offering educational programs, services and activities to inspire the students in American Indian and Alaska natives to remain in the academic pipeline and a path of career in health professional and biomedical research. The AAIP also encourage the development of ideas and view of modern medicine combines with traditional healing to enhance health care delivery to American Indian an Alaska native communities. The main topic of AAIP is Diabetes mellitus, HIV/ AIDS, Domestic violence, and methamphetamine use.
