Association of Genetic Technologists

The Association of Genetic Technologists, Inc. (AGT), started in 1975, is a non-profit professional society established to help cooperation and discussion of information among those affianced in classical cytogenetic, molecular and biochemical inheritances and to stimulate interest in genetics as a profession. The task of the Suggestion of Genetic Technologists is to offer to our membership, and the wider genetics community, superiority services that increase gratitude of our profession and serve the communal health and welfare. The about 800 technologists, administrators, lab executives and genetic counselors who are members of AGT include a network of dedicated professionals who share a common bond:  an interest in genetics. AGT's annual meeting offers opportunities to develop qualified contacts in the ever-expanding area of clinical and research genetics. Our advertisements keep members and subscribers abreast of the latest expansions in the field. AGT's continuing teaching chances assist those who have professional certifications in preserving their professional permits. In addition, various awards and volunteer opportunities allow scientists to be recognized for their contributions to the profession.​​
