AGID is a non-profit and non-governmental organization started in 1974 by a small group of worldwide geologists who supposed that geoscience, and geoscientists might play a more energetic role in international development. It was therefore traditional to provide a remaining forum for the exchange of thoughts, involvement and material among all persons concerned with the importance of the geosciences in worldwide increase. Its affiliation is made up of both individual and recognized members in (currently) finished sixty republics all over the world. The objectives of AGID are as follows: to inspire communication between all societies, societies, works and corporations with an in interest in the submission of the geosciences to international advance, to inspire and promote actions in geoscience fields which are related to the needs of mounting countries, to promote and inspire among earth scientists an alertness of their responsible role in the management of natural funds, To emphasize to nations cooperating in international aid, the essential role of the geosciences in social and financial development.
