Association of Pacific Rim Universities

APRU was built up in 1997 by the presidents of California Institute of Technology (Thomas Everhart), University of California, Berkeley (Chang-Lin Tien), University of California, Los Angeles (Charles Young) and University of Southern California (Steven B. Test). Seeing the quick financial combination of the district and the arrangement of APEC, the establishing presidents' vision was to set up a head collusion of exploration colleges as a counseling body to global associations, governments and business on the advancement of science and development and additionally on the more extensive improvement of advanced education. The vision now envelops concentrating new information on the worldwide difficulties influencing the area.
