Autism Society of Newfoundland and Labrador

The Mission of the Autism Society of Newfoundland and Labrador is:

The Autism Society, Newfoundland Labrador (ASNL) is a provincial charitable organization dedicated to promoting the development of individual, lifelong, and community-based supports and services for people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), their families, and caregivers.

Vision of the Autism Society of Newfoundland and Labrador includes:

A province where people with ASD and their families are respected, and where they receive services and supports based on their individualized differences, needs and preferences.

The ASNL currently operates four regional offices around the island, along with three volunteer chapters in Marystown, Trinity-Conception-Placentia area, and the Northeast Avalon. The society also helps to host many parent support groups in communities around the province.

At the Elaine Dobbin Centre the society offers programing options for individuals with ASD and their family members. These programs include such options as Transitions, Social Thinking, Adult Leisure, Social Club, and community based Therapeutic Recreation.  Across the province, the society strives to be an informative resource for those interested in learning more about ASD, and have a wide range of materials available at our regional offices.

The ASNL is also active in awareness raising, advocacy, and outreach across the province for all individuals and families affected by ASD.
