Brazilian Society of Allergy and Immunology was found in 1976, Recently, the partnership between WAO and ASBAI have been increasing spectacularly. It inspires ASBAI in its purpose to improve educational programing bringing the information to all the physicians interested in allergy and immunology practicing.
World Allergy Organization: In 1951, From all over the world the leaders in allergy came together to form the International Association of Allergology and Clinical Immunology (IAACI). The international meetings, which were originally named the International Congress of Allergology and Clinical Immunology, are those now the World Allergy Congress hosted by the World Allergy Organization.
The current officers of WAO elected to focus on this rich history, by inviting prominent leaders who are interested in being part of this history project to write about their time with the IAACI-WAO. This series will be presented in Cancún, México as part of the XXII World Allergy Congress. Leading up to the Congress in Cancún, the World Allergy Organization Journal is now presenting segments of the History as part of the “Notes of Allergy Watchers Series.”
