British Association of Pharmaceutical Physicians (BrAPP)

British Association of Pharmaceutical Physicians is a non-profitable   organisation which was founded in 1957. It basically involves a   group of qualified doctors who has worked for the pharmaceutical industry. The role of the pharmaceutical physician was a started  in 1957. British Association of Pharmaceutical Physicians (BrAPP) was named  by which they could meet and exchange their views and new medical information such as doctors who is working in other medical fields.

After  55 years of its existence BrAPP has published a journal, which is accessible  to all members which includes  professional meetings, training and residential workshops on specific topics related to  pharmaceutical members. It also holds the oldest postgraduate course in the fields of pharmaceutical medicine with the Department of Pharmacy at the University of Cardiff. In the middle of 80^th centuary. BrAPP was involved in the development of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine with the joint Royal Colleges of Physicians to begin and establish the recognised medical specialty of pharmaceutical medicine.

It is an individual society which is formed in 1989 in which the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine played a major role.In 1992 Pharmaceutical Medicine became a documented in paper. Its responsibility got established and also maintained its standards of the specialty. we are in direct competition with the FPM for members’ money!

BrAPP has continued to grow as the professional association for those qualified  doctors who was working on and  behalf of the pharmaceutical industry. Our main focus towards an individual member throughout their careers such as medically doctors and  pharmaceutical physicians. Hence it is vital that we are supposed to offer services and benefits to members mainly. But also to those doctors who is willing  to join industry.
