British Columbia Pulmonary Hypertension Society

The British Columbia Pulmonary Hypertension Society (BCPHS), was formed in 2001 by a very determined patient, Liz McCall with a goal of supporting others suffering from the same rare disease and wanting all to benefit from the experiences of others so that they may live longer, happier and healthier lives. BCPHS became a registered charity of Canada in 2007, a very proud accomplishment. 2011 marked the Society's 10th Annual Pulmonary Hypertension Symposium held in Vancouver, BC. Each year, BCPHS continues to flourish and they look forward to the future, a future without PH. Liz McCall started BCPHS in 2001, wanting to meet others with Pulmonary Hypertension. In 2007 BCPHS became a registered charity of Canada. BCPHS has an annual symposium on PH in Vancouver BC. We will continue our fight against PH. The mission of BCPHS is to be an advocate for those living with Pulmonary Hypertension, to promote public awareness of PH through education, To provide support to patients and caregivers affected by PH, To support research and education of healthcare professionals, To raise funds to meet the objectives set by the society.
