British Orthopaedic Oncology Society

British Orthopaedic Oncology Society was founded at the meeting of the International Society of Limb Salvage (ISOLS) in 1989 in St Malo, France. Prof Rob Grimer & Prof Simon Carter from Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham, Prof John Healey, New York and Mr Steve Cannon, Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore were founding members. Society holds an annual meeting which is attended by worldwide orthopaedic oncologists. In 2014, the society celebrated its Jubilee Anniversary at the Birmingham meeting. In 2016, the founding members met up and toasted the Society.
