British Society for Children's Orthopaedic Surgery

Society is founded in the year of 1984 with the moto of promoting Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery in the UK and is affiliated to the British Orthopedic Association (BOA), The European Pediatric Orthopedic Society (EPOS) & the Pediatric Orthopedic Society form North America (POSNA). The Society has representation on the Standing Liaison Committee of the British Orthopedic Association. It provides a forum for discussion of research, advances in clinical practice and the results of surgical preparation pertaining to the practice of children's orthopedics and trauma. Membership was open to UK orthopedic consultants for every pediatric orthopedics represents a substantial part of their research and professional themes. The Society conduct a meeting once a year for a 2 day meeting involving lectures and abstracts, & contributes regularly to instructional sessions in the British Orthopedic Association Congresses. The Society is allied to the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America, the Australian Pediatric Orthopedic Society & the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of India
