British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy

BSDHT is formerly known as British Dental Hygienists' Association, BDHA. It was founded in 1949 by a group of 12 dental hygienists to represent the interests of dental profession. The BSDHT is a nationally recognised association that represents more than 4,000 members across the UK and beyond.

The mission of BSDHT is to provide a consultative body for public and private organisations regarding all matters of dental hygiene and therapy. Societies’ aim is to work with professional and regulatory groups of other fields to provide the best information to the members as well as to the general public.

Increasing the range of benefits offered to members and supporting with a clear business and financial strategy are intentions of the society.
