Canada Mink Breeders Association (CMBA) is a not for profit association formed in 1952. Its members are Canadian mink farmers that support the Association through a pelt levy on pelts sold at auction.
CMBA on behalf of its members provides leadership in research, best farming practices, marketing, and promotion of the interests of the fur farming sector nationally and internationally. The goal is to ensure the permanent prosperity of the Canadian mink farming industry.
CMBA assists provincial Associations with educational forums, speakers and financial assistance. The CMBA Annual Meeting rotates through producing provinces providing members with a regular opportunity to connect with their elected representatives.
CMBA is active with other Canadian livestock producers with membership in the National Farm Animal Care Council (NFACC) and the Canadian Animal Health Coalition (CAHC).
at the CMBA Annual Meeting. From these delegates is elected a seven (7) person Executive Committee. In addition up to three (3) Directors - at - Large may be elected from individuals that have provided long and distinguished service to the Association. The Executive Committee and Directors - at - Large form the CMBA Board of Directors. The Board of Directors provides oversight for theAssociation with assistance from an Executive Director throughout the year. The Board operates using a committee structure.
