The Canadian Meat Goat Association bolsters the improvement of a productive meat goat reproducing stock and meat industry in Canada by giving creature enlistment, part training and industry advancement for the participation and by joining forces in examination and business sector extension. On November 27, 1993, the Canadian Boer Goat Association was shaped through a specially appointed procedure including 7 sanction individuals. On October 10, 1995, this Association was authoritatively fused by Agriculture Canada under the Animal Pedigree Act, with authority by-law endorsement going ahead January 3, 1996. This endorsement gave sole power as the main affiliation affirmed to enroll Boer and Boer cross goats in Canada. The recently consolidated affiliation, which had started its enrollment procedure under the Canadian Livestock Records Corporation, moved to Canadian Beef Improvement Inc., and inevitably started self-registry out of the Association office in Glenwood, AB, Canada. In 2009, the Association office was moved to Saskatchewan, and the Canadian Livestock Records Corporation in Ottawa was contracted to process enlistments and participations. The Association owes a gigantic obligation of appreciation to the early pioneers of the Boer goat industry in Canada. Untold hours of volunteer work and cost were given to set up an association and structure whereupon to fabricate the future business. Right up 'til the present time, the Association relies on upon the dedication of its volunteer Board and advisory group individuals, who keep its numerous projects running. Occasionally, the CMGA attempts program activities that are equipped to be useful to makers in enhancing and showcasing their creatures and along these lines developing the meat goat industry in Canada
