Canadian Wind Energy Association

CanWEA, the Canadian Wind Energy Association, is the voice of Canada's wind energy industry, effectively advancing the dependable and economic development of wind energy. A national non-benefit affiliation, CanWEA is Canada's driving wellspring of data on wind energy's social, financial, wellbeing and ecological advantages for Canadian people group and commonplace economies. Built up in 1984, CanWEA speaks to the wind energy group — associations and people who are straightforwardly required in the improvement and utilization of wind energy innovation, items and administrations. Our individuals are Canada's wind energy pioneers. They are wind energy proprietors, administrators, producers, venture designers, advisors, and administration suppliers, and different associations and people that bolster Canada's wind energy industry. 

As a non-profit association, CanWEA is represented by a Board of Directors. There are fifteen board individuals, which incorporates four official positions of Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. As pioneers of the business, board individuals offer their skill and learning and serve as supporters to advance and outfit wind energy in Canada. WindSight magazine is the official quarterly publication of the Canadian Wind Energy Association. As the voice of this dynamic industry, WindSight is distributed to 3,000 industry leaders and decision makers. The Canadian Wind Energy Association (CanWEA) is a founding member of the Canadian Council on Renewable Electricity (CanCORE). Established in 2015, CanCORE is a non-partisan organization that allows Canada’s leading national renewable electricity industry associations to collaborate, educate and pursue common opportunities as a solutions provider to the critical challenge of decarbonizing the North American energy system while bolstering economic growth.

Every year the Canadian Wind Energy Association (CanWEA) recognizes visionary pioneers and clean vitality pioneers for their remarkable commitment to the Canadian wind industry. Nominations will open September 12 and close November 30, 2016.
