The association follows its foundations to the foundation of Chinese Chemical Society in Nanjing in 1932 and was restored in Taiwan in 1950.For political reasons; the association's English name was changed to Chemical Society Located in Taipei despite the fact that regardless it holds the name "Chinese Chemical Society".
