Dutch Mycological Society

The Nederlandse Vereniging Mycologische (Dutch Mycological Society, NMV) was founded October 17, 1908 with the aim of promoting mycology, the study of fungi. The Company currently has approximately 800 members, involved in mycology at various levels - beginner or advanced amateur or professional. It publishes the journal Coolia and various other ad hoc publications, and organizes national meetings, courses and mycological excursions

The company has an extensive library, currently housed by the Centraal Bureau voor Schimmelcultures  in Utrecht. This library contains a large number of (rare) partly books, periodicals and reprints can be viewed or used by members of the Company, without charge.

NMV has a number of active committees and working groups, publishes a magazine (Coolia) and many other publications, and organizes and / or coordinates - among others - national meetings, excursions, study weeks and internships. The company has an extensive library, housed in the Center for Fungal Biodiversity (CBS) in Utrecht, and containing a large number of books, magazines and reprints, which is available for free or borrowed by members NMV
