Founded in 1956 and formally seated in Wageningen (The Netherlands), EUCARPIA affords massive effect on enhancing international contacts in plant breeding research for almost 60 years. It provokes to sell technical and clinical co-operation in the discipline of plant breeding a good way to foster its further improvement. To achieve this cause, the association arranges and sponsors meetings to discuss preferred or specific problems from the fields of genetic research associated with plant breeding. EUCARPIA is a non-income agency which organizes section and running institution meetings all through Europe each year. During these meetings dedicated to unique crops or cross-slicing topics, specialised up-to-date knowledge and technique are exchanged amongst main scientists and conveyed to realistic plant breeders. EUCARPIA arranges open conferences and colloquia all through Europe every year. The association includes members from throughout Europe and over 30 different international locations worldwide. EUCARPIA initiates relationships and co-operates with other country wide and international companies in fields relevant to plant breeding. Country representatives are focal factors to gather precise issues of a location in EUCARPIA matters. The Ornamental section of EUCARPIA is placed in Belgium.
