European Ceramic Society

European Ceramic Society is non-government, non-profit organization and founded on 1987 in Morns. This society promote and co-ordinate the study and development of ceramics through conferences, meetings and workshops and articles. They prepare, plan, publish issue and circulation of calendars of events, technical papers and other matters. They organize biannual meeting in the member countries.. In 1991, they started Summerschool on Ceramic Processing in Netherlands with the purpose of continuation of educational activities. In past thirty years composite materials, plastics and ceramics have been the dominant emerging materials In the world. The volume and number of applications of composite materials have grown steadily, penetrating and conquering new markets relentlessly. Modern composite materials constitute a significant proportion of the engineered materials market ranging from everyday products to sophisticated niche applications. The scientific meetings cover the topic microstructure, properties of polycrystalline ceramics consolidated at high temperature and processing.  They build the close relationship between American Ceramic Society and some Council members. They also do activities in the field of industry. They develop a public program which develop he possibility to organize a periodical meeting on Research and Development in Traditional Ceramics and the compilation of an industry database to be involved in future enterprises.
