In the year of 1994, The European Confederation of Neuropathological Societies (Euro-CNS) was founded with the aim of maintaining and promoting the harmonization of neuropathology training and clinical practice throughout Europe and to promote neuropathology research findings. This association is the proud member of 1000 members and comprising of 21 national organizations, They dedicatedly works towards to establish the guidelines for minimum standards of training in Neuropathology and promote recognition of Neuropathology among health care professionals. To improve the quality of care of patients with neurological diseases in Europe through the uniform dissemination of the highest standards of Neuropathology diagnosis and practice and encourage and facilitate high quality Neuropathology research in Europe. They establish and maintain harmonization of the practice and training in Neuropathology throughout Europe. They establish high standards of Neuropathological practice and improve the quality of care of patients with Neurological disease. They also establish a system of recognition of training in the speciality of Neuropathology in association with national bodies. They encourage good bonds between European national associations and European collaborative research in Neuropathology and also to represent the interests of the discipline of Neuropathology at the international level. They describe in terms of duration, content, the patterns of work, nature of training institutions and qualifications of those who train and to establish minimal requirements in Neuropathology.
