European Desalination Society

European desalination society is promoting desalination, water reuse and water technology with individual and corporate members including universities, companies, research institutes, government agencies and all concerned with and interested in desalination and membrane technologies for water. All processes include research, applications, consulting, contracting, operation and maintenance, manufacturing, marketing, economics, legislation. Members are welcome from other regions outside Europe. They encouraging research, development and appropriate use of desalination, desalination technology and water reuse and promoting, exchanging, communicating and disseminating information. They remote awareness of the true value of water and its augmentation by desalination. They promote business development in desalination and related technologies in Europe and communicating and cooperating with national and international agencies and develop the technologies. Generally desalination is the process of removes minerals from saline water or target substances. Water scarcity is a worldwide problem limited to typically 'dry' climates; which means that leakage still remains in the spotlight at both local, national and international levels. Water companies, technology and service providers and customers must all work together to drive down leakage and reduce demand, as a significant element of the overall drive to manage our limited water resources. Due to the growth of the desalination field to help supply water to population, there has been a surge in the number of scientists and engineers involved in water desalting and wastewater reclamation. This society dedicated to application and innovative research of desalination technology, environment and energy considerations, integrated water management, water reuse, wastewater etc. They also organizes the conferences with the overview of recent developments. They provide the platform for discussion of disinfection, drinking water, membrane cleaning, membrane process designing etc.
