European Federation Of National Associations Of Orthopaedics And Traumatology

The European Federation of National Associations of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (EFORT) is the platform organisation linking Europe‘s national orthopaedic associations. The national associations for orthopaedics and traumatology from twenty different European countries established EFORT. EFORT was founded in Marentino, Italy, in 1991 and today has 45 national members’ societies from 42 member countries around Europe and rest of the world, as well as have nine associate scientific members. EFORT was established as a non-profit organisation and all funds are used exclusively for research and medical advancement. EFORT has collaboration with the European Specialty Societies and also has established links with various International Societies. It mainly works on behalf of the European orthopaedic and traumatology community to promote awareness regarding musculoskeletal health and quality of life.

Established as a pan-European Association, EFORT is a partner of various industry, international organisations, universities, authorities, scientific bodies, professional and patient organisations in the field of musculoskeletal disease and trauma.

 EFORT‘s primary mission comprises the:

• To represent state-of-the-art orthopaedics and musculoskeletal traumatology treatments in European countries.
• To Promote research, science and training in orthopaedics and traumatology in European countries
• To enhance exchange of scientific experience and knowledge and the improvement of education and training to medical professionals and researchers.
