European Health Management Association (EHMA) is a non-profit membership institution open to all those devoted to improving health and healthcare. EHMA focuses on health management quantity and capabilities and on supporting the successful implementation of health policy and process, so as to make a real difference to the lives of Europe’s 500 million citizens. EHMA is the alone membership organization in Europe which brings together health managers, health professionals, policy makers, researchers and educators. EHMA administers an environment where evidence, challenge and experience are valued and convoluted debates on current topics take place. EHMA augments its impact by placing its membership of over 130 members in 38 countries at the heart of all that it does.

Mission of EHMA is to convert the EU policy to the organisational level and influences the agenda from the bottom up. They collaborate with dominating research institutions to accelerate the uptake of research findings into process. Their management improvement portfolio supports health care deviation and education to empower the delivery of high quality healthcare across Europe. EHMA is basically focussed on the ‘how’ rather than the ‘what’ of healthcare. This focuses on implementation that has behind it the dual aims of improving the take up and successful implementation of health advancement programmes and spreading this learning back into the realms of health policy, education and training.
