The European Society for paediatric gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN) is a multi-professional organization whose aim is to promote the health of children with special attention to the alimentary tract, liver and nutritionary standing, through knowledge creation, the dissemination of science based information, the promotion of best practice in the delivery of care and also the provision of top quality education for paediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition professionals in Europe and on the far side. It provides representation for all professionals concerned in paediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition, to promote basic, translational and clinical science, to lobby for stronger support of research work, and to offer the best standards of education to members and all the professionals involved in this necessary area, with specific attention to new investigators and trainees to make sure they're supported and inspired. They additionally aim to serve as a source of competent recommendation for governments, international agencies, and relevant stakeholders. it has a network of outstanding researchers, clinicians, and allied health care professionals as an ESPGHAN member. ESPGHAN has 3 standing committees specializing in medical specialty, hepatology and nutrition. All of those committees aim to promote child health and increase understanding and treatment of disease states. ESPGHAN members are even involved in numerous operating teams that are connected to the appropriate committee and focus on specific aspects of child care and / or disease states. , the Allied health professional Committee aims to reinforce the multidisciplinary approach in gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition in Europe, and the novice Committee promotes and supports specialist coaching and guides trainees towards full membership of ESPGHAN. The Journal of pediatric gastroenterology and Nutrition (JPGN) provides a forum for original papers and reviews addressing pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition, together with normal and abnormal functions of the alimentary canal and its associated organs, including the salivary glands, pancreas, gallbladder, and liver. specific emphasis is on development and its regard to infant and childhood nutrition. ESPGHAN wishes to promote research activities and networking among centres at a global level.
