Federation of African immunology society

The main vision of the Federation of African society was to advance the field of immunology in the African content. It also enhances the communication between, educations of Africa based immunologist. To promote research, clinical and animal care, and advocacy efforts the impact immune system-related morbidity and mortality. The federation of African immunological societies connects immunology societies from African countries. Mainly the activities of FAIS are is to complement those of other similar organization. Any Africa-based country's immunological society may join. At present Cameroon, Congo, Egypt, The Gambia, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Tunisia and Zimbabwe is represented in FAIS. The FAIS constitutions are now undergoing amendments. FAIS is affiliated with the international union of immunological society (IUIS) an organization for regional and national societies of immunology throughout the world, in which it is affiliated, under the Article 2.1.2 of the IUIS constitution. The main objectives of international union of immunological society (IUIS) are to organize international co-operation in immunology & to promote the communication between various branches of immunology & allied science, to encourage within each scientifically independent territory co- operation between the societies that represent the interest of immunology, to contribute the advancement of immunology in all its aspect. The objective of the FAIS is to encourage and promote closer contact and interaction between immunologists in the African continent, also to encourage and support educational or training programs that will help to improve the quality of immunological research in Africa, to advocate for the field of immunology in Africa, to complement, and not conflict with, objectives and activities of other similar organizations on the Africa.
