Federation of Clinical Immunology Societies

The Federation of Clinical immunology Societies (FOCIS) exists to enhance human health through immunology by fostering interdisciplinary approaches to both perceive and treat immune-based diseases. Initially established as a cross-disciplinary meeting, FOCIS conducted its 1st Annual Meeting in 2001. After 2 prosperous consecutive conferences, FOCIS incorporated in 2003 as a 501(c) 3 organization. Currently in its twelfth year of existence, FOCIS has fifty three Member Societies, representing about sixty five thousand clinician scientists. A Federation of this size provides a voice for clinical immunologists and ultimately strives to enhance patient care. The FOCIS Centers of Excellence (FCE) offer a chance to make an interdisciplinary translational immunology community at the institutions. Being a member of the FCE community offers efficient coaching surroundings for translational researchers and clinicians by promoting interdisciplinary innovation in research and clinical practices, and promoting new approaches for researchers and clinicians. This network of institutions facilitates innovation in investigation and clinical practice. Within the four years since its creation the FCE has established local networks of physicians and investigators and raised awareness for clinical immunology at educational medical institutions. The FCE provides interdisciplinary coaching programs for college students, fellows and continuing education of physicians through FOCIS aided opportunities like, FOCIS Annual Meeting, FCE Fusion, and also the advanced Course in Basic & Clinical immunology, entrepreneurs in Clinical academe. The Federation of Clinical immunology Societies provides many educational programs on immunology like Advanced Course in Basic & Clinical immunology, Basic immunology in medicine, Interventional immunology, computational immunology, European Advanced Course, Entrepreneurs in Clinical academia (ECA), The Federation of Clinical immunology Societies conducts annual congress with concentrate on translational immunology that may provide a competitive approach to the career. The meeting allows to staying ahead of the curve with leading clinicians and researchers delivering the most recent breakthroughs across immune-mediated diseases. Focusing on molecular pathways and their implications in human disease provides the distinctive chance for innovative thinking and apply concepts from the pathologies of other diseases to uncover latest solutions to challenges in the diseases study. The Federation of Clinical immunology Societies conjointly provides job openings to determine a decent career. It provides grants to the accepted members to advance in scientific research.
