Federation of European Microbiologist Societies

Federation of European microbiologist society (FEMS) is leading the way in promoting excellence & diversity in science, and in channeling high quality knowledge to solving today’s societal problem around microbiology. It does this by funding research, publishing journals, connecting microbiologist & partnering with other journal. FEMS are made up of an active & diverse network of around 30,000 professionals who are admitted to advancing microbiology for the benefit of the society in the area of health, energy, food materials & the environment. It was setup in 1974, today Federation of European microbiologist society consists of 52 member societies from 36 countries. Half of those networks were early career research anlyst, and others are business partners, scientists or campaigners. The main objective of FEMS is to benefit microbiology in Europe & across the world through research, networking, education & outreach and to help our member societies serve the microbiology community. By achieving this federation of European microbiologist society provide opportunity in networking, research& communication as well as developing revenue stream to maintain & develop charitable activities. Micro-organism plays an important role in human, animal, plants, the environment & industrial process and impact scientifically on health, the economy, food supply & ecosystem. FEMS vision is to coordinate and lead the acquisition of scientific knowledge and innovation in microbiology and to maximize communication of this knowledge, and its importance, to research analyzer, politicians, policy makers, industry and the general public. Over the last 40yrs FEMS have launched five highly respected journals which fund philanthropic and campaigning activities.
