French Society of Plant Biology

The French Society of Plant Biology formerly the French Society of Plant Physiologists was established in 1955. It aims to energize and advance the study of plant science in France to facilitate relations amongst analysts and that guarantee their representation in national and worldwide organizations. Now SFBV has more than 400 members having a place with several universities and national research institute. Raoul Combes was the Founding President of the society. The current president of SFBV is Mr. Anis Limami and the head office of society is in France. SFBV comes with an aim to the develop the field of Plant Biology in France by taking various steps like to foster the relationship between the French Biologist outsiders working in the plant world (open and private), To promote or encourage the participation of students, young researchers in national and international congresses with scholarships, It aims to facilitate the relations among scientists working in various institutions and areas of plant biology in France and other countries, To be an representative organ of the French plant scholars in France and abroad. The Journal Plant Physiology and Biochemistry is an official journal/magzine of the Federation of European Societies of Plant Biology and the French Society of Plant Biology (Société Française de Biologie Végétale (SFBV). It publishes unique theoritical, experimental and specialized contributions in the different fields of plant physiology (natural chemistry, physiology, structure, hereditary qualities, plant-microorganism collaborations, and so on.) at assorted levels of coordination (sub-atomic, subcellular, cell, organ, entire plant, ecological). The SFBV arranges a worldwide congress for plant scientists each other year. It additionally arranges gatherings for youthful researchers and themed workshops.
