French Statistical Society

Gérard Biau (UPMC) is the serving president of the society .The French Statistical Society (SFdS) is a scholarly society established in 1997, spend significant time in measurements, whose mission is to advance the utilization of insights and understanding and advance methodological improvements. To this end, it encourages trades between analysts from the administration, business or instructive or research foundations with an arrangement of activities that are displayed on this site. SFdS was perceived of open utility by declaration of December 3, 1998.

The SFdS was formally fused on sixth August 1997 (reported in the Official Gazette of August 23, 1997) and perceived of open utility by pronouncement of 3 December 1998. It comes about the merger chose in October 1996 to three affiliations ASU (Association for Statistics and Use) established in 1969 & the SSP (Statistical Society of Paris) established in 1860, SSF (Statistical Society of France) established in 1976.

At present SFdS accounts for about 1200 members. It expects to advance the utilization of measurements to bolster its methodological improvements and to guarantee the representation of every one of the individuals, who practice, instruct or perform there examination. SFdS proposes specifically to encourage trades between analysts working in government, business and instructive or research establishments. The society has privileged international & national relations. Some of them are European mathematical Society, International Mathematical Society, European Courses in Advanced Statistics, Federation of European National Statistical Societies, Applied & industrial Mathematic Society, French Biometric Society.
