Infectious diseases are care caused by mainly bacteria, virus, fungi or parasites. Some Infectious diseases can be passed or transferred from person to person by these organisms. Some Infectious diseases are transmitted by the bites from animals or insects. And some Infectious diseases are acquired by ingesting contaminated food, bad water or being exposed to or virus, bacteria or any other organisms in the environment. So these are leading cause of death worldwide. To fight with these organisms, microorganisms, pathogen and their associated health risk the German  Federal Ministry for Education and Research established the German Centre for Infection Research i.e., Deutsche Zentrum für Infektionsforschung in short DZIF. It brings together universities, Leibniz and Max Planck institutes, government research establishments, university medical centers with strong profiles in the area of the infectious diseases. DZIF partners are members of DZIF under German Law or German constitution. According to the German law the general assembly and the executive board are mandatory of DZIF. Commission of the Funding Authorities (CFA) and the Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) are the further bodies of DZIF. The Administrative Office of this society is located at the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research. And it is also responsible for coordinating and managing organizes General Assembly meetings and all research funding procedures and also reporting and review procedures. The Managing Director of DZIF is Dr. Timo Jäger. The Managing Director and the Main Office of DZIF is located in Braunschweig. Organizing the research initiatives to be implemented in the coming years as well as the press and public relations work of DZIF are the main tasks of the Managing Director and the Main Office staff. DZIF is an affiliation of 35 research institutes and located at seven sites distributed throughout Germany. To coordinate and strategically align translational infection research with the aim of developing new diagnostic and preventative and therapeutic methods for treating infectious diseases is the main mission of DZIF.
