ISSTDR (International Society for Sexually Transmitted Diseases Research) founded to encourage research on sexually transmitted diseases and enable the timely exchange of data among researchers. ISSTDR sponsors a biennial, interdisciplinary scientific meeting at venues that generally rotated between Europe and North America. Since the Society was founded, ISSTDR meetings have been the best scientific conferences that address the entire range of research on STD, HIV infections and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, encompassing microbiology, virology, immune biology, pathogenesis, clinical science, social and behavioural sciences, epidemiology, Prevention and research in health services, public health, and prevention policies.
