The International Society of Urological Pathology was established on Sunday, March 15, 1992 in Atlanta Georgia amid the Annual Scientific Meeting of the United States, Canadian Academy of Pathology. At the inaugural meeting Leopold G. Koss was chosen as Founder-President and after a brief logical session, President Koss reported that arrangements with the United States, Canadian Academy of Pathology had been effectively finished and that every year the Society would direct an exploratory meeting as a feature of the Annual Meeting of the Academy. The principal universal investigative meeting of the Society was held in conjunction with the Congress of the International Academy of Pathology in Madrid, Spain in 1992. The inaugural exploratory meeting in conjunction with the United States, Canadian Academy of Pathology Annual Meeting was hung on March 13, 1993 in New Orleans. There were 125 participants at this meeting which focussed upon late advances in prostate surgical pathology. The Society keeps on holding a yearly experimental meeting which is generally gone to by in overabundance of 500 representatives. Notwithstanding this the Society frequently gathers partner gatherings at the Congress of the International Academy of Pathology, The International Meeting of the International Union Against Cancer (UICC), the Australasian Division of the IAP and European Society of Pathology. The International Society of Urological Pathology commended its twentieth commemoration in Vancouver in 2012 with an agreement gathering on renal cell tumors.
