Italian Society Of Human Genetics

The Italian Society of Human Genetics (SIGU) was fused on November 14, 1997, shaped from the merger of prior Italian Association of Medical Genetics and the Italian Association of Medical Cytogenetics, relevantly have stopped their exercises.  Notwithstanding the overwhelmingly investigative targets of the Association, the new organization is proposed as an edge of reference and exhortation of exploratory premium and wellbeing issues identifying with human hereditary qualities in all its handy angles to man.  The SIGU plans to work with the individuals who in Italy are keen on examination and to a study identifying with the controls of Medical Genetics and Human Genetics, strikingly by creating quality gauges for labs of Medical Genetics working in people in general and private wellbeing offices , adding to the improvement of rules in the field of Human Genetics research and promovuendo by any methods open mindfulness about the capacities, abilities and impediments of the demonstrative systems of Human Genetics. They have now joined the Association more than 1000 specialists and scientists geneticists. Goals of the Association are to promote scientific research in the field of Human and Medical Genetics, to contribute to the development of Human Genetics and Medicine in all its aspects; stimulate public attention and institutions towards Genetics Human and Medica, also with regard to health and human diseases; to contribute to the program of Continuing Medical Education (CME) in the field of Human and Medical Genetics; and work with the Ministries of Health and Education, University and Research Scientific, Regions, Local Health and other bodies and health institutions public; collaborating with public agencies, with other scientific and generally other bodies Companies,promote research and studies in the field of Human and Medical Genetics. The association welcomes all who have scientific interest in the field of genetics.
