The Japanese Society for Wound Healing was established in 1971 as a small study group for wound healing. In the year 2000 it has become academic society adopting the present name, in 2013 JSWH has authorized as a general incorporated association. JSWH covers several fields, not only the clinical medicines considered traditionally related to wound healing but also the modern topics ranged from basic science, nursing, veterinary to pharmacy and businesses. JSWH takes advantages of these broad ranges of its members’ specializing fields with great support to achieve the goals to contribute to the advancement of wound healing research to apply to clinical stages. JSWH membership is open to anyone who shares their goals for development of wound healing research. All doctors, researchers of basic science or those who concern associated areas, as well as healthcare professionals are eligible for the membership. Wound Repair and Generation is the journal and official magazine for Japanese Society for Wound Healing (JSWH).
