The Kentucky Orthopaedic Society’s mission is to facilitate the ability of orthopaedic surgeons to provide quality care for their patients through education, practice management, and appropriate advocacy efforts. The Kentucky Orthopaedic Society attempts to maintain ethical and professional standards in the practice of orthopaedic surgery in the State of Kentucky. KOS’s goal is to build communication among Kentucky orthopaedists and raise the involvement of the KOS and its members in political advocacy activities. Kentucky orthopaedic society formed in 1992 in the month of October. They are ruling for 24 years. The officers of the Society shall consist of a President, President-Elect, Secretary and Treasurer and Representative to the Board of Councillors. Raymond Dayne Wright, Jr MD, President of the Kentucky orthopaedic society and Andrew Wilson Ryan, MD, Secretary/Treasurer. They organized many conferences with renowned speakers.
