Korea Biomedicine Industry Association

Korea biomedicine industry association(KoBIA) was established in 2011. KoBIA is growing fast as an institution representing Korean biomedicine industry and  are putting utmost efforts for the development of the biopharmaceutical industry. The biopharmaceutical industry is getting attention globally as the future growth engine. Keeping pace with such global trend, Korea has the strategy to reinforce global competitiveness of domestic biomedicine industry and to enter the Top 7 leading countries by 2020. Through the world’s first approved stem cell therapy, global advancement of biosimilars, and Seoul as the world’s top city in number of clinical trials, Korea shows its global position on biological products is getting higher. KoBIA leads the establishment of expert networking by close cooperation with industry, academy, research institutes, and government for revitalization of biomedicine industry ecosystem. Also, KoBIA will play an important role to develop the biopharmaceutical industry through various activities including support for commercialization, training, policy research, investment and technical alliance, and international cooperation.
